The rules
What stops a review inventing problems.
Three rules every lens is given. The selector check is code and always runs; quoting or measuring, and staying silent, are instructions, and only a deep review adds a pass that checks them. They reduce fabrication; they do not eliminate it, and we would rather say so here than have you find out mid-review.
Quote or measure
Every lens is told to cite text from the page or a number taken off it, and never to rest a finding on a claim about websites in general. A deep review adds a pass that checks each finding against the page and drops what it cannot support.
No invented selectors
Every selector a lens names is checked against the page we read, and one the page does not contain is dropped. The finding is still filed, with the element left blank, so it can never pin to the wrong place.
Silence is allowed
A lens that finds nothing reports nothing. There is no minimum finding count, so nobody has to pad.

Claims without units, statements on the page that contradict each other, headings that name a category instead of a job, and calls to action that do not say what happens next.
- SEO
Missing, truncated or malformed descriptions, missing and malformed structured data, heading order, and canonical mistakes.
- UX
Tap targets under 44px, invisible focus rings, forms that lose state on error, and contrast failures reported with the measured ratio rather than a verdict.
- Speed
Time to first byte, DOM ready and full load, the slowest resources by bytes and milliseconds, and every image served larger than it is displayed.
- Legal
Collection without notice, missing or broken policy links, and cookie behaviour that fires before consent. A screening pass, not legal advice.
- Security
Mixed content, missing headers, and exposed keys redacted to a prefix, with publishable browser keys deliberately not flagged. Judged against OWASP, and not a penetration test.
- Code
With a repository connected, its findings arrive with a file, a line and a link straight to GitHub. Without one, the review still runs on the page alone.
- Senior pass
One reviewer reads every lens report and writes the do-this-next list, ranked by what each item costs to leave alone. It may also send a lens back for a second look.

Pages behind a login
We never send cookies upstream. Your own gated pages can open in the review frame through an access key your site accepts, but the lenses read every page as a logged-out visitor would.
Aggressive bot walls
Some sites see a datacentre IP and serve a challenge instead of the page. Check before you buy, it takes one paste.
Exact screenshots
Captures are rasterised from the DOM, so canvas, video frames and some backdrop filters render imperfectly. Viewport-only, never full page.
